Presidents day?

Presidents Day
The day we all gather and celebrate presidents.

Actually, that's a lie.
I've never gathered with anyone specially for presidents day... have you?

Are we supposed too?

Is this Christmas for the big boys up in the not-round office?

Should I be spending all my money to buy things for our deceased leaders?

Would they even be able to enjoy them?

Do we give them all to Obama?

Or should we just wait for him to tax them away?

Do we give some to the past-but-still-alive presidents?

Like, Bill Clinton, George Bush, George W. Bush and many more?

What is the purpose for presidents day?

Is it so the kids can have a day off of school?

What about the homeschoolers?

We don't have school off...

No one even thinks about the presidents on presidents day.

Unless you are a president...

But no presidents read this thing so my question won't be asked.......

What is presidents day about??

You tell me, right down there on the little comment button.
(that's how you tell me)
(Just thought I'd say...)

  1. It probably started as a day to honor all the former White house residents (including the present president)

But NOW, it has turned into a big marketing event (thus all the coupons to malls and such).

  4. Okay. For once in a blue moon, I'm going to (try) to sound smart in my comment. :P

Presidents Day is around to honor the first and sixteenth presidents. No,the first president was NOT Obama. :P The 1st was George Washington and the 16th Abraham Lincoln. The 16th of February is Presidents day because both Washington and Lincoln had their birthdays in February-- Washington's being the 22nd and Lincoln's, the 12th. So, Presidents Day is to honor these two president's birthdays.

Now I feel so smart... :P
